Job Summary

The City of Marion’s Parks & Recreation Department is hiring Part-Time Seasonal help. Marion’s Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for all the grounds and buildings the City owns. If you are interested in helping our department maintain and improve City property, we need your help! Parks & Recreation employees are responsible for keeping our facilities in top shape for our visitors and our citizens.

 

We are looking for self-starters who take pride in their work and in our community. We are offering flexible working hours to encourage applicants to consider The City of Marion as a part-time job. Perhaps your schedule allows part-time employment in the evenings, or on weekends? Come have a conversation with us!

 

Responsibilities include mowing and trimming the Cemetery, all Parks, Road Right of Ways, Baseball Complex, Library, Community Center, and other City Facilities. Cleaning public restrooms, trash removal, painting, and basic maintenance is also included.

 

Applicants must be over 18, be able to do physical labor, pass a Background Check and Alcohol/Drug Screening. Part-time employees may work up to 30 hours per week with a wage of $9.25 per hour.
